For highly glossed areas, clean with the aid of a scouring pad or lightly sand prior to cleaning.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eAs a primer:\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eApply 2 coats, one hour apart.  Once you have applied your second coat, and it has dried for a further 4 hours, you can go ahead and paint as needed.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNB: for glass, glazed ceramics and porcelain we recommend additional drying time.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eAs a stain-block:\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eApply 3 coats of Block \u0026amp; Tackle an hour between coats. Allow the final coat to cure for a minimum of 72 hours. Once cured, Block \u0026amp; Tackle will inhibit over 95% of the stains or ‘wood bleed’ typically encountered when painting older, stained, oiled or varnished items.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e Should some bleeding occur after painting or sealing, simply sand off the upper layers of the affected areas only with a light sanding technique, apply 2 more coats of Block \u0026amp; Tackle, and allow 24 to 48 hours to cure (depending on the intensity of the bleeding).
